Kai is here!

Hello everybody!

Yes it is true! Kai Olivia Reynolds was born this afternoon at 1:30PM at home. She weighed in at 8lbs.14oz. and is 20 inches long. She is already nursing and Mom and baby did a great job and are both doing well and resting in our "birthing suite". Just thought you'd all like to know and see some up to the minute photos. Included are pictures of Renata meeting Kai, me weighing Kai and the mid-wives and their helper who helped us out. They got here just in time! Julie had been having contractions since 2:30am but at noon things took off and went from mild and 10-15 min apart to 2 min. apart and serious! We had the water birth we wanted the first time and it worked very well for Julie and it was a good thing Glen started building and filling the pool before the midwives got here.
